Lake Cooper Millworks LLC is a family-owned business that specializes in building custom residential cabinets, commercial casework, countertops, and custom woodworking designs, located in Hamilton, IL. 

 

Robin Carel established the business in 1987 and built their current location in 1995. Robin’s son, Jessie Carel, worked for his father for many years before taking the business over alongside his wife, Mikayla, in January of 2020.

What's unique about LCMW is every project is fabricated right in their shop in Hamilton. Every piece is special and a work of art. Jessie and Mikayla work as a team with every project from start to finish. It's truly rewarding to see that process and the final product! 

 

Jessie grew up in the shop and learned woodworking and the cabinet world at a very young age. He's a true perfectionist and takes pride in his work, every piece is special and unique to him. He is jack of all trades and that's mainly because he enjoys the challenge of learning something new. His well-rounded knowledge from welding, to painting, to general construction, and all things wood, helps complete any type of project. He has dreams and goals for the shop but the most important is to pass his trait down to his children. It is an honor that he is able to continue the legacy.

Mikayla graduated with her bachelor's degree in Business Organizational Management from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2014. She worked as an insurance producer for many years before joining the family business. She has been able to make the business flourish with her background in business and customer service. You will find her doing all things accounting, ordering, working in their cabinet design program, and now most recently programing and operating their CNC router.

Jessie and Mikayla are happy they are able to continue the Carel family business and look forward to serving their community for many years to come!
